Mediation

Mediation Facility Hire

 

Inns of Court Gold Coast is an excellent  venue for mediations, arbitrations, and conferences.

Centrally located in Southport, our facilities include two large conference rooms, that make it ideal where there are a number of participants.

 

Fees to hire both conference rooms are as follows:

  • Full day rate (8.30am to 4.00pm): $150.00 plus GST. For each break-out room, an additional $50.00 plus GST;

  • Half day rate (four hours or less): $90.00 plus GST. For each break-out room, an additional $30.00 plus GST;

  • Discounted full day rate for subsequent days (must relate to the same matter): $100.00 plus GST and $20.00 plus GST per break-out room.

 

Tea, coffee and water facilities are provided otherwise, there are a number of cafes conveniently located in the immediate vicinity.

 

Parties are provided with access to the WiFi network..

 

The hire of our facilities does not include secretarial services.  However, you are welcome to use the photocopier located in the reception area to copy mediation agreements etc. Please note, excessive copying/printing may attract a further fee.

 

Our facilities are available between the hours of 8:30 am and 4:00 pm, Monday to Friday.  All mediations, conferences, and associated proceedings are to be concluded by 4:00 pm.  Should you require further time to conclude your matter, subject to availability, subsequent days can be booked at the aforementioned discounted rate. Matters that exceed 4:00 pm will attract additional fees.

The following members of Inns of Court Gold Coast are accredited mediators and are able to assist with mediations:

Mr Michael Campbell

Michael Campbell completed the Bond University Mediation Course and is a Supreme Court approved mediator since 1997.  Mr Campbell has  conducted and or participated in Mediations since 1997 and continues to do so.  His mediation rates are by negotiation.

Mr Dan Steiner

Dan holds qualifications in Business and Law and is admitted to practice as a Barrister and Solicitor of the Supreme Court of the ACT and the High Court of Australia and subsequently, the Supreme Court of New South Wales and the Supreme Court of Queensland.

Dan has over 20 years’ experience as a legal practitioner and has practiced law in many geographic areas. Dan’s practice has a strong emphasis on litigation and dispute resolution, particularly, personal injury litigation, commercial litigation, insurance litigation, property litigation, administrative law, criminal law and estate litigation.

 

Dan’s accreditation as a mediator is the culmination of many years’ mediation practice as a solicitor, in which time I have become a passionate advocate of alternative dispute resolution and mediation.

 

Dan has attended in excess of 300 mediations as a solicitor.

 

Dan has over 20 years’ experience in assisting people to find innovative and practical solutions to a myriad of legal problems and disputes and I bring an open mind and the necessary skills and demeanour to achieve the best possible outcomes for the parties to a dispute, irrespective of the issues involved. 

 

Dan always strives to be professional, understanding and very dedicated, whilst maintaining unwavering ethical standards.
