Dan was called to the Bar in 2019 after gaining over 20 years of litigation experience as a solicitor.
Dan is available to accept briefs to appear in Southport, Coolangatta, Beenleigh, Brisbane, Tweed Heads, Byron Bay, Mullumbimby, Lismore and Ballina.
Dan holds qualifications in Business, Accounting and Law.
After completing his Bachelor of Laws degree, Dan commenced employment as the managing law clerk of a mid-sized law firm in Canberra and completed his Graduate Diploma in Legal Practice at the Australian National University.
In 1998, Dan was admitted to practice as a Barrister and Solicitor of the Supreme Court of the ACT and the High Court of Australia and shortly thereafter, the Supreme Court of New South Wales and the Supreme Court of Queensland.
Subsequent to admission as a Barrister and Solicitor, Dan commenced practice as a partner and director of Capital Lawyers.
Under Dan’s leadership, Capital Lawyers grew from a small legal practice to a national law firm, servicing many thousands of clients in a variety of legal areas. Dan worked as the Managing Partner / Director of Capital Lawyers for over 20 years, gaining valuable experience in both operating a modern business and practicing law in many legal and geographic areas.
As the managing director of Capital Lawyers, Dan practiced extensively in litigation, particularly, personal injury litigation, commercial litigation, insurance litigation, property litigation, administrative law, criminal law and estate litigation.
IIn 2018, Dan became a Nationally accredited mediator.
Dan’s accreditation as a mediator is the culmination of many years’ mediation practice as a solicitor, in which time Dan had become a passionate advocate of alternative dispute resolution and mediation.
In that time, Dan has attended in excess of 300 mediations as a solicitor.
Dan has over 20 years’ experience in assisting people to find innovative and practical solutions to a myriad of legal problems and disputes and brings an open mind and the necessary skills and demeanour to achieve the best possible outcomes for the parties to a dispute, irrespective of the issues involved.
Dan strives to be professional, understanding and is very dedicated, whilst maintaining unwavering ethical standards.
