Luke has particular expertise in all areas of NSW legislation in relation to the areas of crime, criminal procedure, bail, sentencing and mental health provisions.

Luke has over 18 years of experience in the criminal justice system.

That experience includes four years as an criminal investigator, ten years as a senior prosecutor, and over four years as a defence solicitor.

​

Luke has both prosecuted and defended in hundreds of trials for matters ranging from traffic offences to drug supply, break and enter, sexual offences and serious assault charges. 

​

Luke has extensive experience in the fields of family and domestic violence protection as well as sentencing matters and bail applications. 

 

Luke has also appeared in numerous inquests and inquires and was awarded for his advocacy in an inquest where the person of sufficient interest confessed to causing the death of the deceased and was subsequently arrested and charged. 

​

Before being called to the Bar, Luke was a director of a boutique law firm on the Sunshine Coast.

 

While working as a solicitor, Luke provided representation as a criminal defence lawyer as well as family law matters, including divorces, property settlements and child custody arrangements .
